Hi, my name is Jessie and I'm a 10 year old spayed sable and white female. My former owner brought me to an animal hospital to be put to sleep a few months ago because he was having health problems and wasn't able to take care of me. Thankfully the veterinarian does not put down healthy dogs like me, so the doctor got my Human to sign me over to the animal hospital so they could find me a new home. I was there for four days and got the best veterinary care - I had my blood work done, my vaccinations were verified and updated, and I even had a real dental cleaning! After I was there for four days though my Human came back because he thought he was well enough to take care of me, so I went home for a few months... and I thought my life was back to normal but my Human got more sick and had to go to the human hospital, and decided that he would bring me back to the nice doctor at the dog hospital so I could try to find a new home. I'm staying at the animal hospital for now but I'm very worried because I have no home now. I'm a shy girl and didn't live with children before, but the doctor and everyone at the dog hospital says I am sweet and have shown no signs of aggression. I even got to play with some other dogs and cats while I was there - I like the company! As you can see from my photograph I'm all excited for the holidays and I am crossing my paws in the hope that I will get my wish for a new family to spend my golden years with.

Hi, my name is Chrissy. I am a 6 year old spayed female up to date on shots and on heartworm preventative. I belonged to an elderly woman who began to have mental issues. She was hitting me with a cane and eventually I did bite her; I was just trying to protect myself. I am really very sweet and am just looking for someone to love me. I can sit and shake and I love attention. My foster mom says I have shown no signs of aggression; she has taken me lots of places to check me out. She even took my food away from me. I am good with her cat but her cat rules. I like other dogs.
Please note because of Chrissy ‘s history she needs to go to a home with no small children. She has not shown any signs of aggression around children but we do not know how she would react if she were frightened with no escape route. Chrissy’s first tendency is to run and get out of the way

Hi my name is Jake, I am an 18 month old sable and white boy. I am only 16 lbs , but I am very active and love people.

I was hit by a car and broke my leg, my parents were unable to afford the very expensive vet care- so the National Sheltie Rescue group saved me from being put down, and paid my entire medical.

I am looking for a home with a fenced in yard (as I like to chase things) a family willing to work with me to help me be the best dog I can be. I am in need of someone who can teach me not to jump on visitors. I could use a couple of obedience courses and would like older kids because of my small stature and jumping/chasing tendency

My mom feels older children would be best. I LOVE to play with my toys and my favorite is my ball.

My new family would need to walk me on leash at first so I do not blow out my newly fixed leg. I should be good as new soon, but need a little TLC. This time could be spent training me to be a gentleman.

I am crate trained but because of my injury’s and tendency to jump, I have not had free time in the house- so my mom does not “know” if I am 100% trust worthy when loose.
